Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support pupils who may face barriers to learning. This includes children who are currently eligible for free school meals or have been at any point in the last six years.

What is Pupil Premium Funding?

The Pupil Premium Grant enables schools to provide targeted support, helping to ensure all children have equal opportunities to succeed and achieve their full potential. At Shirwell, we carefully plan how this funding is used to support both academic progress and wider wellbeing.

How We Use the Funding

Our Pupil Premium strategy is planned over a three-year period and reviewed regularly to ensure it has the greatest possible impact. Provision is monitored each term and updated annually in September.

We are committed to using this funding thoughtfully and effectively, ensuring that every child at Shirwell feels supported, included and able to thrive.

Further details about our current Pupil Premium allocation and spending can be found in the documents below.
